The pedestrian awning along the facade provides shade, but also provides protection during wet weather conditions. The large perforated metal panels on the awning have a decorative and advertising function for the companies located in the garden centre.

In addition to the garden center, Bents also has a Food Hall. Through a separate entrance you enter the world of flavors of Cheshire and Lancashire. The facade of this Food Hall is made up of a natural green plinth.

Bents pays a lot of attention to sustainability and reuse. For example, the rainwater from the roof is collected and recycled for the toilets and all plants.

On the roof are thermal solar panels that are able to capture the heat of the sun. Geothermal pipes absorb the heat from the ground and this heat is used for underfloor heating.
